Our Key Verse :Revelation 20:6
Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

What Happens When We Die?

I wish to give a Bible answer to this oh so important question. Many make lite of the fact of their personal death that shall take place someday. And the sad fact is, that This is the most important thing we must tend to this side of death, and we must answer when The Lord calls because. I know according to the Bible that when we have that kind of attitude, It is a blinder that Satan the enemy of our souls has placed over ones eyes

( 2 Corin.4:4 That is why it is a true miracle when one is allowed to see the Bible truth in any way (Rom. 2:4) .

You see the world (anyone who is not saved) can not perceive Gods word( 1 Cor. 2:14). Jesus said unless the father draw you, You can not even come unto Him ( John 6:44 ). That is why I truly believe the greatest miracle of all is to see a person born-again, amen! They are literally plucked from the snares of sin, and death ( Romans 8:1-2 ) and made clean in the precious blood of the LAMB ( 1 Peter 1: 18 -19  ). And thusly given a brand new life in Christ Jesus, That will never have an end( John 11:26 ), Old things are passed away, Behold all things are become new

 ( 2 Corin. 5:17 ).

I started out talking of Gods great plan of salvation, Because that is the very reason Jesus came to "seek and save that which was lost". (Luke 19:10) You may say save? Saved from what? Well it is very easy to see that Jesus was clear in His mission, and for what reason. He came to save the fallen race of Adam ( Romans 5:14-21 ) (in the Genesis account) from perpetual damnation (eternal hell fire,Romans 5:18).

This judgment is an attribute of the Holiness of God. God in His righteous nature demands that there be no sin enter his perfect dwelling place (heaven)( Revelation 21:24-27 ), and the case being that every man is a sinner,( Romans 5:12 ) by our inherited fallen nature. Something had to be done to give each person the same opportunity to gain access to God's provision so they might enter heaven. You see God never even intended for man to ever have to die, But at the same time God in His infinite Wisdom knew that man would fall from His (God's) Holy standard, And this brought the curse of sin, and death upon every soul born after Adam. And He (God Himself) who has the ability to meet all our needs, Even before He created mankind had the Gospel planned ( 1 Peter 1:20 ). And the Gospel is the atonement. Or the Shedding of the blood of an innocent victim. The atonement is a biblical term speaking of a reconciliation, or a restoration of relationship between God, and mankind ( Col. 1:20-23 ). While under Abraham, whom is the father of our faith, who exhibited faith in God to save him. It was faith in God that God required but even with that, The sin debt had to be removed ( Hebrews 10:4-12 ) before Abraham and all others whom believed could enter heaven. This is why before the cross, Abraham is seen actually in a compartment in Hell called "paradise"( Luke 16:26 ), and then after Jesus death Abraham, and the Old Testament faithful were taken from hell, and escorted into heaven

( Math.27:52-53 , see also Eph. 4:8) And so until the fulfillment of God's atonement was brought to pass (Jesus Christ and Him Crucified )(1 Cor. 2:1-2 ) , Under the system of the Mosaic Law, God laid forth the sacrificial system of goats, and bullocks: Which did not remove the believers sins, But it served as a stop-gap measure to "cover the sins of the people"( Hebrews 10:1-4 ), until the coming Messiah (Jesus Christ) would lay down His life for the sins of the whole world, And "completely remove the sins forever"( Jer. 31:34 ). In other words He died so you, and I would not have to.

While it is appointed for man to die once ( Hebrews 9:27-28 ) The redemptive work of The LORD Jesus Christ will (by faith) keep us from the "second death" ( Rev. 20:6 ) which is perpetual separation from God and His eternal bliss, He has for all who place their faith in Him, Through His precious Son Jesus Christ , (John 14:6 ). This separation will also be compounded by the ( tortures ) of the(eternal lake of fire). Some these days try very hard to say God, If He is a loving God would never send anyone to that kind of place, First of all, Those who are saying this are calling God a liar and with that kind of attitude, One will be further blinded in other doctrines of God. They need to stop and realize even Jesus spoke more of hell than He did heaven. He warned the hearers of the danger of ignoring His call. And He also gave very graphic descriptions of the place called hell reserved originally for The devil, and his angels. But after the fall of man, The bible says that hell enlarges herself, making room for the souls of men who would go there.

So Who goes to hell, and who goes to heaven? These are questions that need to be put out to the masses again from behind today's pulpits. As many refuse to preach messages of conviction fearing they might run someone off. The fact to the matter is the majority will "run off", People by nature do not want to face the facts as it regards their personal stand with God.

And for this cause these pulpits often send a watered down, and thus a powerless message of Hope.

Let me ask you a question. If you went to the store to buy batteries for your flashlight so that you might see in the event of a power outage, and when you got home and put them in the flashlight and find they "do not work", What would you think about that? How would you respond? And so it is with much of the "preachers" of our day, Their message has not power, Their batteries (power source) are dead If you haven't got the light to see in the dark, why stand there with a powerless flashlight.? You probably wouldn't, You would probably go find one that " worked".

That is what I am doing here today, I am trying to shine a light in your spirit, and let the glorious God of the bible shine inside, and let you see your condition, Your future, your eternity, as laid forth in the bible, and Finally I want to let this gospel light shine inside your dark soul, and Let you see Jesus has come so you can have hope at the point of your last breath. And be taken into Jesus presence at that point.

I have been at the death bed of people who were saved, and I have been by those whom were not saved. The saved ones often speak with smiles on their faces of heavenly visions, angels, streets of gold, steps, beautiful things above. But I have never seen a lost soul act like this, They always are in torment, moaning and groaning it is as if you can see them seeing something coming that they want to avoid.

I believe they see hells angels coming to reap their poor lost souls as they leave their bodies. and carry them away to that awful place called hell. Yes as the story of two literal human beings in Luke 16 so plainly tells us, The righteous go to God, and are comforted, and the Lost go straight to hells fire, and torments. This passage still moves me as I read it to this day. And to think two (2) people die every second around this world many of which are not saved, Their sins are still ever before them, and they go off into eternity without Jesus, and His gift of God's salvation (deliverance from death, hell, and the grave). Paul said: The righteous are immediately in Jesus presence at the time of death, This is for the saved only. The Lost, as we just read are taken to hells flame. What about you neighbor? Will your sins be under the blood, when you die, are you born-again? Have you called on The LORD Jesus Christ to save you, and forgive you for all of your sins?

To answer the question of this short lesson, (What Happens When We Die?) If you are not saved at the point of death your soul will go to hell, and await The Great White Throne Judgment, This judgment is reserved for those who were not saved, And whose names are not found in The LAMBS Book Of Life, Yes If your name is not in the Lamb's Book of Life. You shall stand alone before the Holy God of The Bible, and receive proper judgment. And that will be when The Lord will declare unto you, "Depart from me ye worker of iniquity I never knew you". The most scary words one will ever hear in all of eternity.

Please I beg you today, Hear Jesus' call to be saved, and place your faith in God, In the name of Jesus, Ask Him to cleanse you from your sins, and wash you in His precious blood, And then repent of your sins, That means to turn from them, and forsake them. Do not worry about the how's. Only place your faith in Jesus each and every day, and ask Him to lead you, and guide you in His Holy path that leads unto life. And guess what? If you do, according to scripture you are saved.
